How to: Run a DOS-based application in exclusive (single) mode.
Solution:
Specify the configuration for the DOS application under the 'Advanced' button in the 'Program' page of the properties dialog box.
1) Open Windows Explorer.
2) Select the drive and the folder (or subfolder) where the DOS application file is located.
3) Right-click the DOS application file icon. ( A pop-up menu appears.)
4) Select 'Properties'. (The '<Filename> Properties' dialog box appears, where <Filename> is the name of the application file.)
5) Click the 'Program' tab. (The 'Program' page appears.)
6) Click 'Advanced...'. (The 'Advanced Program Settings' dialog box appears.)
7) Clear the 'MS-DOS mode' check box.
8) Click 'OK' and click 'OK' again.
9) Right-click the DOS application file icon and select 'Open' from the pop-up menu to run the application.
